The Athletic Department has a goal of helping to fulfill the mission of the College, as we provide an opportunity for our student-athlete’s to be enriched through their participation in our program.
MCC was a founding member of the Midwest Christian College Conference (MCCC) in 1964 and we have been members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) since 1994. We currently offer eight varsity sports (baseball, men’s & women’s basketball, men’s & women’s country, men’s & women’s soccer and volleyball) that compete within the NCCAA.
During our twenty year involvement in the NCCAA we have won six National Championships, and over 30 Regional Championships. The current stable of coaches has over 50 years of experience and three of our current coaches have been named National Coach of the Year on at least one occasion.
Our teams not only compete in the NCCAA and MCCC, but they compete against several of the small private colleges during our non-conference play. We believe that athletics provides a great chance for our student-athlete’s to learn very practical skills of teamwork and leadership, while competing and representing the institution.
You can keep up with each of the team’s throughout their seasons at the mccks.edu/athletics, as schedules, rosters and news articles are posted there to keep people up-to-date on the teams. You can also follow us on Facebook (MCC Athletics) and Twitter (@mccathletics).
