Thunder Men's Soccer Announces 2026 Recruiting Class
The Thunder men's soccer staff have completed their 2026 recruiting class and have signed five total newcomers who will all be incoming freshman. The newest Thunder men's soccer student-athletes are:
FRESHMAN
Shayne Boutte - 5'8, Freshman, Defender - Hayfield Secondary School (VA)
Jack Keesecker - 6'0, Freshman, Midfielder - Manhattan High School (KS)
Keesecker will also compete in cross country for the Thunder. Lettered in cross country and track at Manhattan High School.
Will Martinez - 5'11, Freshman, Defender - Junction City High School (KS)
Tyler McNamara - 5'10, Freshman, Defender - Seaman High School (KS)
Led the Vikings to eight wins as a senior. As a senior, McNamara played in 14 matches for the Vikings. Collected one assist.
Jakob Meisenzahl - 6'1, Freshman, Forward - Bishop Miege High School (KS)
Led the Stags to 16 wins as a senior. As a senior, Meisenzahl was named Honorable Mention All-EKL and First Team All-State.
First year Thunder head coach Scott Blake had this to say about his most recent recruiting class, "This 2026 recruiting class of student-athletes brings talent and commitment. They fit our vision both on and off the field. Each player adds unique strengths, competitiveness, and character to the program. We are excited about their potential and look forward to developing each of them, along with our returners, into confident players, strong teammates, and leaders within our soccer family and on our campus."
The Thunder will kick off their season at home on Saturday, September 5th against Bethany College (KS).
