Recap: Thunder Cross Country Competes at the Ollie Isom Invitational
The Thunder cross country team had an early start this morning at the Ollie Isom Invitational in El Dorado, Kansas. The women, who run a 5k, would run first at 9:00AM. Sophomore, Grace Black would finish first of the two runners for the Thunder. Black would finish 61st out of 75 runners and finish with a 26:14 time. Freshman, Emily Forshee would finish 71st and run a 28:50 5k in her first collegiate race. On the men's side, they run an 8k which started at 9:45AM. True freshman, Elijah Wasson would finish first of the three runners who competed for the Thunder. Wasson would finish 93rd out of 112 runners with a time of 35:11 in his first collegiate race. Sophomore, Thomas Craig would finish 100th and run a 36:34 8k, while freshman, Jack Keesecker would finish right behind Craig with a 36:56 time in his first collegiate race.
The Thunder cross country teams will run again on Friday, September 18th at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas with the race starting at 6:15PM.
