The Thunder men's soccer team would be back to conference and region play on Saturday afternoon with their rival the Ozark Christian College Ambassadors in town. The Thunder would give up a goal in the first half to trail 1-0 after 45 minutes. There would be a 30 minute lightning delay before each team would take the field for the second half. Redshirt-freshman, Elia Zakayo would blast a laser in the left upper 90 off an assist from Riuben Basubeche to tie the game at one before the match would be called for lightning and incoming thunderstorms. With the match going at least 70 minutes, it is considered a contest and the Thunder are now 1-4-1 overall, 1-2-1 in the MCCC, and 0-1-1 in the NCCAA Central Region.

The Sons of Thunder continue MCCC and Central Region play against the Barclay College Bears on Tuesday, September 22nd at 4:00PM in Haviland, Kansas.
