MCC Athletics Welcomes New Head Women's Basketball Coach

Manhattan, Kan.

Manhattan Christian College Athletics and Athletic Director Lauren Sanders are excited to introduce Dalton Miller as the newest addition to our Thunder family as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Women's Basketball Coach.

Coach Miller brings with him a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to the game of basketball. His coaching philosophy aligns perfectly with our values here at Manhattan Christian College, emphasizing not only athletic excellence but also personal growth, spiritual and character development.

Throughout his career, Coach Miller has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to mentoring student-athletes, and a drive for success both on and off the court that we know will energize our women's basketball program.

Coach Miller is an alum of Manhattan Christian College and was a member of the MCC men's basketball team from 2015-2017. He graduated with a degree in Biblical Leadership in 2018 and is currently working on his Master's Degree. He has been a men's assistant coach at MCC and Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD, a head men's coach at Dallas Christian College in Dallas, TX as well as Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, MN. Coach Miller has just finished his season as the head boys basketball coach at Hampton High School in Hampton, NE.

"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Miller back to the Thunder athletics family! His passion and excitement for basketball and mentoring and investing in student-athletes make him the perfect fit! I have full confidence that his experience as a student-athlete and his coaching experience will help elevate not only our women's basketball program but also make an impact in the lives of all of our students." said Sanders.

"Manhattan is a great place all around. I couldn't pass on the opportunity to lead a program where we get to glorify God through the game we love and in a place that is so special to my wife, Mikayla and I. There are already great relationships in place that helped make it such an easy decision to come back. I'm thankful to both Coach Sanders and Coach Strom for the opportunity to come back and serve as the leader of this program, and I look forward to the new relationships that will be made. This program has a history of being successful and I can't wait to work every day to hsee it in a position where competing is the expectation with a team that is proud to be part of everything MCC has to offer. Having played at MCC and the opportunity to coach at MCC, it really is an exciting time!" said Coach Miller.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Coach Miller and his family to Manhattan! Coach Miller, his wife Mikayla and two children will move to Manhattan later this spring, but he is already actively working to recruit new women's basketball student athletes and building a relationship with current players.

We look forward to an exciting journey ahead under his guidance and leadership! Roll Thunder!
