Manhattan Christian College Athletics and Thunder Women's Basketball are excited to announce the 2026-27 women's basketball schedule. The Thunder will be under the leadership of first year head coach, Brad Willems, after he spent three seasons at Central Christian College (KS). The Thunder are coming off a 17-win season in 2025-26, their most wins since the 2017-18 season when they won 20 games. MCC finished with a 17-15 overall record, a 6-4 runner-up finish in the Midwest Christian College Conference, and won the NCCAA Central Region Tournament Championship for the first time since 2014 and advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament.

Their season will open with a road exhibition against NAIA opponent, Southwestern College, on October 26th before they have their first countable game on October 31st at the College of Saint Mary. The home opener for the Thunder will be on November 6th against Arlington Baptist University. Before opening MCCC play, the Thunder will head back to the Faith Classic for the third year in a row on November 21st & 22nd to play two games against Trinity Bible College and Kuyper College. The women's MCCC opener will be at home against Emmaus University on December 5th. On January 29th, the Thunder will battle Ozark Christian College on the road in a rematch of the 2026 NCCAA Central Region Championship and then follow that up with a rematch of the 2026 MCCC Tournament Championship with a game the next day at Calvary University.

The Thunder have six countable non-conference and non-region games, besides playing the College of Saint Mary, Arlington Baptist University, and at the Faith Classic, set with Hesston College, Ecclesia College, Randall University (home-and-home), Trinity Bible College (home), Southwestern Adventist University, and Kansas Christian College to boost their schedule. The Thunder will play four NAIA teams and one NCAA Division III team this season. Along with the Southwestern College exhibition, they will also play exhibitions against Bethel College Junior Varsity (home-and-home) and Nebraska Wesleyan University.

The MCCC Women's Tournament will be hosted by Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri from February 18th-20th. The NCCAA Central Region Women's Tournament will be held at Union Adventist University in Lincoln, Nebraska from February 24th-26th. The NCCAA Women's National Tournament will be held in Pensacola, Florida from March 10th-13th at Pensacola Christian College.
