Dalton Miller is in entering his third season as the Thunder head coach. Miller is a 2018 graduate of Manhattan Christian College and has held several coaching roles since graduating. He has been at Presentation College, Dallas Christian College, Oak Hills Christian College and Rockford University. 

During the 2025-26 season, Miller led the Thunder to a 17-15 (6-4, 5-3) record. The Thunder would finish as runner-ups of the Midwest Christian College Conference. They would go on to win the NCCAA Central Region Tournament for the first time since 2014 and earn an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament, their first appearance since 2018. Miller and the Lady Thunder's 30 wins over the past two seasons are the same amount as the past six seasons combined.

In his first season, the Lady Thunder would win 13 games, the most since the 2017-18 season and more than the last three seasons combined, and play in the NCCAA Central Region Tournament Championship game. 

Dalton and his wife, Mikayla, reside in Manhattan with their two children, Brexley and Beckett. Coach Miller also serves as the Director of Admissions at MCC.
