Recap: No. 1 Thunder Volleyball Dominates Union Adventist

Manhattan, Kan.

The #1 ranked Thunder volleyball team were back home on Thursday night to take on Union Adventist in a NCCAA Central Region match. This is the second matchup of the season for the Thunder and Warriors, as the Thunder defeated the Warriors by way of sweep on September 4th in Lincoln, Nebraska. On Thursday night, it would be much of the same as the Thunder dominated the Warriors in straight sets (25-13, 25-7, 25-11). Five Thunder players had at least three kills led by sophomore, outside hitter, Ellie Wilson who had seven, while sophomore counterpart, Jayda Juenemann had six on eight attempts. Senior, middle hitter, Jacey Schurle would also chip in with six kills of her own. The Thunder would also have 15 aces as a team led by the trio of Natalie Jensen, Malloree Matlack, and Jaiden Brewer who all had three a piece. Jensen would also lead the team in digs on the night with 10. The entire roster for the Thunder would play and record a stat tonight. With the region win, the Thunder are now 15-1 overall and 6-0 in the region.

The Thunder will play their third game of the week on Saturday, October 4th when they travel to Moberly, Missouri to face Central Christian College of the Bible at 1:00PM in the Ferneau Center. The Thunder swept the Saints on September 19th in Manhattan, Kansas.
