The Thunder volleyball team competed in the 2026 Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament over the weekend as they were looking to capture their eighth straight tournament championship. The Thunder would play the #4 seed Ozark Christian College Ambassadors in the semifinal on Friday as they defeated the Calvary University Warriors in five sets. The Thunder and the Ambassadors met twice in the regular season and the Thunder would take both matches. Through two sets, the match would be tied at 1-1. The Thunder would dominate the third set and would take the fourth set in a tight one, 25-23, to win the match and advance to the championship on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Thunder would play against the #3 seed Emmaus University Eagles, who upset the #2 seed Faith Baptist Bible College Eagles in four sets. The Thunder and Emmaus Eagles played once during the regular season and the Thunder would win that match, 3-1. The Thunder would make quick work of the Eagles and sweep them in straight sets to earn the 2026 MCCC Tournament Title for the eighth year in a row. Over the seven sets played, junior Ellie Wilson would have 28 kills, 30 digs, and four service aces, while fellow junior, Jayda Juenemann would have 18 kills and hit a team high 0.349 hitting percentage through two matches. Katie Drake and Jordan Miller would each have 13 kills a piece over the weekend with Drake having five total blocks (one solo, four assists) on defense. Senior, Jaiden Brewer would also chip in with four service aces on the weekend. With the two wins, the Thunder now sit at 18-4 headed into the NCCAA Central Region Tournament.

The Thunder will continue postseason play on Thursday, November 5th at the NCCAA Central Region Tournament hosted by Calvary University in Belton, Missouri. They earned a bye to the semifinal and will play the winner of the #4 seed Calvary or the #5 seed Central Bible. This match will start at 5:00PM.
