Recap: No. 2 Thunder Volleyball Defeats Central Bible

Manhattan, Kan.

The Thunder volleyball team put their Midwest Christian College Conference regular season win streak on the line again on Tuesday night. The Thunder would host the Central Bible University Saints, who is also in the NCCAA Central Region. In the first and second sets, the Thunder would fall behind early to the Saints, but would take care of business and defeat and sweep the Saints for another conference/region win (25-13, 25-17, 25-8). Ellie Wilson and Jordan Miller would both have 10 kills each, while freshman, Abby Hands would chip in with eight kills from her middle position. On the defensive end, senior, Jaiden Brewer would lead the team with 18 digs, and junior, Natalie Jensen would have 12. Brewer would also have four service aces. With the win, the Thunder are now 7-1 overall, 3-0 in the MCCC, and 2-0 in the Central Region. Head coach, Lauren Sanders also became the all-time winningest coach for all sports in Manhattan Christian College Athletics history as she surpassed Shawn Condra with 502 wins all-time.

The Thunder will play their next game on Friday, September 18th at 6:00PM against the Sterling College Warriors at the Howie's Activity Center. The Thunder lost to the Warriors earlier in the year, 3-1, at the Thunder Invitational.
