Recap: Men's Soccer Drop Match to Mission
In the second match of a back-to-back, the Thunder men's soccer team could not overcome the Mission University Patriots on Saturday afternoon dropping the match, 5-1. The Thunder would fall behind 3-0, before a goal in the 78th minute by Ty Dittbrenner to pull within two. Two more goals by the Patriots sealed the win. The Patriots outshot the Thunder, 20-11 and were outshot on goal, 12-7. Freshman, Jacob Bencze got his first career start in goal and recorded seven saves. The Thunder drop to 1-3-0 on the season.
The Sons of Thunder will play their second Midwest Christian College Conference road match on Friday, September 13th against the Central Christian College of the Bible Saints at 4:00 PM in Moberly, MO.
