Lady Thunder Excited To Release 2021-22 Basketball Schedule

The 2021-22 Women’s Basketball schedule it all set and under second year head coach Mindy Eckert, the Lady Thunder are excited to get back on the court. Unlike last year, Manhattan Christian will be able start the season during the first semester with an exhibition game against Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas on October 30.

November will see a month of NAIA and Division II teams which will increase the level of competition to better prepare MCC. After a trip to play the University of Saint Mary on November 3, the Lady Thunder will open up at home November 5 & 6 in the first MCC Women’s Basketball Classic. They will host Stephens College, Crowley’s Ridge and NCCAA Regional team Randall University. The ladies will have four more contest before heading into Thanksgiving break; those consist of a trip to play Southwestern College on November 8, back-to-back home games on November 13 & 15 with Great Lakes Christian and Union College. They will then be ending with an exhibition game at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on the November 20.

Returning from Thanksgiving, MCC will play just three games before heading into a two-week break for Christmas. Once returned, Manhattan will play in a New Year Eve afternoon game against Baker University followed by a travel to Ottawa University on January 3, before diving deep into the Midwest Christian College Conference.

January 7 & 8 will be the MCCC Classic in Belton, MO where Emmaus Bible College and Faith Baptist await the Lady Thunder. A road game to Haviland, KS for a contest against Regular Season Conference Champs Barclay College will end a 5-game road trip before returning home January 15 to take on Central Christian College of the Bible. MCC will travel back to Belton, MO on the 18 but this time to play Calvary University. The Lady Thunder will then have 6 more home games, with one away game thrown in there, before ending the regular season at the house of the 2020-21 MCCC Tournament Champions, Ozark Christian College February 12. 

The 2021-22 MCCC Tournament will take place at Moberly, MO February 17-19. If Manhattan Christian is to qualify for the NCCAA Southwest Region Tournament February 24-26, it will take place in Overland Park, KS.
