Women's Volleyball 2023 Schedule

MCC Athletics and 18 year Head Coach Lauren Sanders are excited to announce the 2023 Women's Volleyball Schedule.
Coming off a historic 2022 season, the team is eager to get back on the court and continue towards the goal of a National Championship. The 2023 schedule includes 23 matches, Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament and the Central Regional Tournament.
The season will kick off with the annual Thunder Invitational hosted in the Howie's Activity Center, which includes four NAIA opponents, Cottey College, Sterling College, Stephens College and Central Christian College (KS). This tournament has become a staple to the Thunder Volleyball program and is a fun weekend full of great competition for the Lady Thunder.
The schedule proceeds with 9 more home matches and 10 away matches. Another notable matchup outside of conference and region play will be Baptist Bible College (NCCAA DI), MCC has not played BBC since 2017. MCC will also play cross region rival Randall University. Randall and MCC have a rich history of competition since both participated in the SW Region since 2014. The Thunder will now join the newly formed Central Region, competing against Kansas Christian College, Barclay College, Calvary University and Spurgeon College for a chance to compete at the National Tournament.
MCC Athletics will host the Midwest Christian Conference Tournament October 27-28. The Thunder will travel to Kansas Christian College for the Central Region Tournament November 3-4, and the NCCAA National Tournament will be held at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO November 16-18th.
"I am very excited for this upcoming season. Our returners are eager to continue building on their success from last season. The new players coming in will instantly add depth and energy to our roster. We are looking forward to great things this year!" said Coach Sanders
