Sam Clark Tabbed as First Ever Golf Coach at MCC

Manhattan, Kan.

Manhattan Christian College Athletics and Athletic Director, Lauren Sanders are excited to announce, introduce, and welcome to our Thunder family, Sam Clark as the first ever golf coach in the history of the college and athletic department. Coach Clark brings passion for student-athletes and to the game of golf. His character and values align perfectly with our values here at MCC, emphasizing not only athletic excellence, but also personal growth, spiritual growth, and character development. Currently, MCC has one woman golfer on our women's golf team, but plans to fill both a men's and women's team next fall with Clark at the helm.

Clark grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska and graduated from Nebraska Christian High School in Central City, Nebraska in 2022. He earned his Associate of Art in Bible from MCC in December of 2024 and is currently studying kinesiology at Kansas State University.

"The addition of our first golf coach marks a significant milestone for Manhattan Christian College Athletics. We are confident that Coach Clark will establish a strong foundation for this program and provide our student-athletes with an outstanding collegiate experience. This hire reflects our continued commitment to expanding opportunities for student-athletes while upholding the mission and values of MCC. We are excited to see the program develop and grow under Coach Clark!" said Sanders.

"I feel honored to join MCC as the Head Men's/Women's Golf Coach. Coaching here is not only a great opportunity to develop great golfers, but also to pour into the spiritual lives of these student-athletes. I can't wait to see how God works through this golf program for years to come!" said Head Coach Sam Clark.

Please join us in welcoming Head Coach Sam Clark to the Thunder family. Clark is married to the former Hali Bloomdahl, who is a senior, middle hitter on the Thunder volleyball team. He is already actively recruiting for both a men's and women's golf team for the 2026 season.
